Abstract

Smart biomaterial composites signify an important progress for biomedical engineering, particularly in the area of measuring drug release. These innovative materials are engineered to respond to specific stimuli from their environment, enabling precise andtargeted delivery of therapeutic compounds. The integration of smart biomaterials into medication systems is key to enhancing treatment efficacy and safety, as they can diminish side effects and improve patient adherence by maintaining drug levels within the therapeutic window. The aim of this article is to explore the mechanisms and applications of smart biomaterial composites in controlled drug release, highlighting their potential to revolutionize therapeutic strategies in biomedical engineering.
